6 of us are planning a trip to the rockies and I wasn’t sure when would be best. I’d like to go in Feb, but I don’t really know a good time to go. We don’t want to go when everyone is there, and we don’t want it to be a blizzard either. We just want to ski for a decent price in good weather.

But a blizzard is good weather for skiing–more snow.
If you want to go in February, avoid President’s Week. The most crowded skiing I’ve ever had the misfortune to be involved in was Keystone the Saturday before President’s Week started. I’d recommend going in January.
