I am moving out to CO in about a month – there is a job fair coming to my area and i would like to go check it out.
I checked out the jobs online, and i am definitely more then qualified for some of the positions ….but i have a sleeve tattoo and dreads. Company standards says that’s a big NO…however most of the company’s i have worked for have had the same conduct.
so is it really that big of a deal?
Could my variety of experience, and great recommendations be enough to hire me anyways?
HELLLP!

depends on the position your going after, it doesn’t take much experience, skill and education to be a lifty, work food service and do many non supervisory jobs at a mountain
If the company says no tattoos and dreads then it could be a big deal, they are probably expecting you to look professional and thats why they don’t want that
You should still apply for the job because it doesn’t take much to get a basic job at a mountain, and if your working outside your hair and tattoos will be covered anyway. If your going for a managerial postion don’t expect to get hired with your current appearence
