My family is looking at moving to Garfied county area in Colorado in a couple months. Somewhere near New Castle, Glenwood Springs area.If there is anyone who is from that area or knows about it, can you tell me about it? What is it like to live there, places to live, weather, jobs, schools, etc. I have been looking online for apartment complexes or rentals and have been having a hard time finding anything, mostly just vacation rentals. Any information that you can help us out with would be great.

I live about an hour away from Glendwood Springs & it’s very beautiful there! There a lot of nice people there but beware that there are some drug adicts. Hardly no crime if so mainly drug related. And of course it’s right on the Colorado River which is BEAUTIFUL!! The water gets 20 – 100 feet! And the people there I would like to call good ole boys & girls! Theres hot springs there which is really nice. There some caves you can explore……. If you like to ski it’s an 65 – 45 minutes away from Vail (#1 ski resort in North america) and Beaver creek. It’s not hard at all to find Apratments or jobs. Where I live the apartments for like a 3 bedroom is up to $1800 and 2 and 1 bedrooms and like $1200. I think it’s cheaper down there! But you’ll love it! It’s always busy there it seems. You should move to Vail! Nice! good luck!!!
