Just wondering what are some good mountains to go snowboarding. Some of us will be beginners and some of us are pretty good. So what are some good places to visit? Also, what months usually have good snow, besides the obvious Nov, Dec, and Jan? And does anyone know of a good website for cabin rentals for 6-10 people? Thanks a bill! If there is any more information you might have, feel free to drop a line.

Colorado has tons of places to chose from that will fit your group pretty well. But first you have to consider what’s important – overall budget/cheaper lift tickets, food, entertainment, easy transportation around the resort/town area, etc.
Most Colorado resorts are 2 – 2.5 hrs from Denver, so if you fly in there, you’ll have to get a rental car or use a shuttle service.
For snowboarding, there are a couple resorts with a more snowboarder friendly atmosphere- Aspen/Snowmass, Keystone are probably the best picks. Breckenridge is pretty good too.
All of them will have good lessons for the beginners.

November is actually NOT a good month, since it’s early in the season, it can be a bit unreliable for snow- though once in awhile, early season snow is really abundant. February and March are good as well.
And if you’re not stuck on Colorado, Park City Utah is another option and it’s much closer to the Salt Lake City airport. PCMR is a very snowboarder friendly place. The Canyons also sets up a decent little park, and has easy beginner trails. Deer Valley DOES NOT allow snowboarding so you’d want to stay away from there. During the end of January, the Sundance Film Festival keeps the slopes pretty empty, however, finding an affordable place to stay can be tough. But it’s really fun in town if you can make it that week.
